Suggested Itinerary:
Day 01: Early morning scenic drive to Kodari (Nepal-Tibet border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and start a short walk (approx. one & a half hrs.) uphill with porters to Zhangmu. After immigration formalities at the check-post we drive (1.5 hrs) to Zhangmu.Stay overnight at Zhangmu. Day drive to uphill to highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world crossing over Nyalam pass (3800m.) and Lalung La (5050m.) if we weather permits we can view breathing panorma of the beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt Everest (8848m.) but dwarfed by the vastness of the Tibetan plateau. Stay overnight at Shegar (Fri) Drive Shegar to Shigatse (3900m, 244 km) Continue scenic drive crossing over Gyatchu La (5220m.) the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt. Kailash bifurcates to the west. On the way we visit Shakya Monastery. Stay overnight at Shigatse (Sat) Drive Shigatse to Gyantse (3950m, 90 km) Morning sightseeing tour of Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery and Market in Shigatse. Drive to Gyantse and visit the Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. Stay overnight at Gyantse Full day picturesque drive crossing over Karo La (5010m.), Kamba La (4794m.), colorful Yamdrok Lake and Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo). Stay overnight at Lhasa Two full days sightseeing tour in Lhasa including Jokhang temple, Barkhor Bazar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries.

(Thurs) Drive Zhangmu to Shegar (4350m, 244 km)

Suggested Itinerary: Fly to Lhasa crossing over the panoramic Himalayan ranges. Transfer to hotel. Full day rest for acclimatization Two full days sightseeing tour in Lhasa including Jokhang temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries.

Day 01:
(Tue/Sat) Airport transfer and fly to Lhasa (3650 m), hotel transfer, and rest whole day for acclimatization.
Day 02/03:

Drive to Tsedang and stay en route visit to Samye Monastery
Day 05:
Sightseeing at Ymbulakang, Tandruk temple and Chong Gye monastery
Day 06:
Drive to Gyantse (3950 m) via Yamdrok lake and stay; Sightseeing at Palchor Chode and Kumbum monastery
Day 07:
Drive to Shigatse (3900 m) via Shalu and stay; Sightseeing: Tashilumpo monastery and local bazaar
Day 08:
Drive to Shegar (or Lhatse*) and stay
Day 09:
Drive to Zhangmu (or Nyalam*) and stay
Day 10:
Drive 8 km to Friendship bridge at Nepal/Tibet border and meet the Nepali guide and then drive to Kathmandu.
