Overview

Jhinu Danda trek is the shortest and easiest trekking route in the Annapurna region. Jhinu Danda is located on the top of a hill which is popular due to its natural hot spring. You can visit the natural hot spring of Jhinu on this trek.

On this trek, the panoramic mountain views of Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna South, Annapurna 2nd along with Dhaulagiri Himal, and the unique culture of Gurung and Magar can be observed. This trek starts from Phedi and ends at Nayapul.

Brief Itinerary for Jhinu Danda trek:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley and prepare for the trek

Day 03: Drive or Fly to  Pokhara (800)

Day 04: Drive to Phedi and Trek to Pothana

Day 05: Trek to Landruk

Day 06: Trek to Jhinu Dada

Day 07: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara

Day08:Drive or Fly to Kathmandu

Day 09: Final departure

Itinerary

Day Day01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m)

You will be picked up by our airport representative and transferred to the hotel. You can have refreshment at the hotel and explore around city.

Day Day02Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley and prepare for the trek

Today, we will drive you to Bhaktapur for sightseeing. It is one of the oldest heritage site of Kathmandu valley where you can see the ancient Bhaktapur Durbar Square and others old temple as well. After that you will be taken to BoudhanathStupa which is the most popular and huge Buddhist temple of Nepal. Having finished it, we will drive you to Hotel and prepare for the next day’s trip.

Day Day03 Kathmandu to Pokhara (800)

On the next day, we will take a private car or tourist bus early in the morning to Pokhara which takes around 7-8 hours. Pokhara is one of the popular cities for tourist where we spend a night at Lake Side.

Day Day04Pokhara to Pothana

We will take breakfast in the morning and then drive you to Phedi and trek to Pothana. From here, the trail goes through Dhampus village along with the views of Annapurna South, fishtail, Annapurna 2nd and Popkhara valley. The entire way of today is uphill till Dhampus and then goes through jungle with easy walking and finally reaches at Pothana

Day Day05Pothana to Landruk

Pothana is a beautiful place and from here, the way goes through Jungle with nice and easy way. After 2 hours of walking, we will arrive at Deurali and then descend down, cross a stream and gets to Tolka. From here, we continue our journey to Landruk. It takes about 5 hours to get to Landruk from Pothana where we stay a night at lodge.

Day Day06 Landruk to Jhinu Danda

Landruk is a huge Gurung and Magar village. After having spent a night there, we will trek to Jhinu. The trail descends and cross Modi River and arrives at Nayapul. Nayapul is located at the bank of the river from where the trail ascends through bamboo jungle. Before reaching Jhinu, we have to climb up about 45 minutes and at the end of the day, we will get to Jhinu and stay overnight there at Hotel. You can visit natural hot spring at Jhinu Danda.

Day Day07 Jhinu Danda to Nayapul and back to Pokhara

Jhinu Danda is popular due to its natural hot spring. After having bath in Natural hot spring, we will return back to Nayapul through syaulibazaar and Birethanti. As we get to Nayapul, we will catch the cab or jeep and drive back to Pokhara and stay overnight at Hotel. It takes about 5/6 hours in total

Day Day08Pokhara to Kathmandu

From Pokhara we will catch a tourist bus to Kathmandu which takes around 7-8 hours. To celebrate the successful completion of our journey, we will have a farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight  in Kathmandu.

Day Day09Final Departure

Our journey in Nepal comes to an end today! We will drop you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.

Useful Info

Required equipments and useful tips for your Trekking/ Hiking Tours:

The Hiking /Trekking generally goes through the high Himalayan passes, it may covers with full of snow so, we advise you to accompany a porter to carry your necessary stuffs. The porter usually carries 18 kgs of your luggage.We also expect you to carry a regular backpack for your valuables and required goods.

We as a travel operator suggest you to bring the basic clothing and accessories to the trek and the remaining  you can just leave/store at Himalayan Abode Trekking or at your Hotel in Kathmandu/Pokhara for free. Here are the basic list of usual equipments regarding your Trekking/ Hiking duration.
