Reviews

Nov 2016 • Couples

We did a trek in 2013 to the Annapurna Base Camp through arrangements made by Himalayan Abode’s. It was a fantastic experience and we were very satisfied with their service. This year without a second thought we contacted Nabin (the managing director) again for our trek to Gokyo and EBC.

We were picked up at the airport by Nabin himself in a private vehicle. He booked a very comfortable hotel that provides 24-hour running hot shower. The trekking guide, Shahadev Thapa, was extremely professional and knew the trekking route like the back of his hand. While walking, Shahadev would carefully observe how we felt at different sections/altitudes, and set a comfortable pace. He also knew which room in which tea house was the warmest at night, or had the best view. We were very happy with the rooms he chose for us throughout the trek. We were initially perplexed by how heavy Shahadev’s backpack was, because he apparently did not have too much clothing/gear. Turned out he carried a huge bag of apples in the pack so that we could eat fruit everyday after dinner. We thought that was pretty sweet.

Overall I’d definitely use Himalayan Abode for future treks/travels to Nepal. Highly recommended!

Lipták E Review fromLipták E Lipták EHungary

A long established trekking company who have been in the trekking and tourism business a long time. They take good care of you from the time you arrive at in Kathmandu till when you leave.
Our trek to EBC was incredible and our guide Bhuban Phuyal was excellent with a very good knowledge of the area. Unfortunately I became I’ll towards the end of the trek but was still able to reach base camp with the patience and help of Bhuban.
On returning to Kathmandu I recuperated in a hotel for several days to get my health back. Each day I was there Nabin Prasai co owner of Himalayan Abode came to hotel to check on me.
I can highly recommend Nabin Prasai and Himalayan Abode for all your Nepal adventures.
